Level 1
This is our entry level of rider where you would be capable of riding 50 – 60km (30 – 40 miles) per day with some hills in rolling countryside. You might be someone who enjoys sports and has a good level of fitness and want to try riding in the Alps.
Level 2
60 – 80km per day with some small Cols ( up to 100metres of climbing per day). Might be suitable for riders who have already done some shorter Sportifs in the UK and are aiming to train for some longer events. Would be comfortable riding 3 hours on the bike.
Level 3
Capable of rides between 80 – 100km per day with a major Col included (up to 1500 metres of climbing each day). May well be in training for a specific cycling goal.
Level 4
Aimed at riders capable of 100km plus per day taking in two major Cols. Climbing would be up to 2000m climbing each day. Once again you may well be in training for a specific goal which involves high mountains.
Level 5
These riders would be capable of cycling long distances day after day. The speed isn’t so important but you would be good to ride 100km with over 2500m of climbing each day. Strong endurance riders who like a challenge! This would be the perfect type of trip for riders targeting multi day events like the Haute Route or big cycling challenges like the Marmotte or Maratona.
